Come join us at the Kilchoan Community Centre for a night of music with Eilidh Shaw (fiddle and vocals) and Ross Martin (guitar) they are probably best known for their work with two top traditional bands; Eilidh with The Poozies and Ross with Daimh, although some may recall the 2000s when they made up 2 fifths of the cult folk explosion that was Harem Scarem.
Between them they have been at the heart of the Scottish Music scene and over the last 20 years have toured the world both with their own groups and performing as guest artists with a vast array of top performers, clocking up over 100 album appearances with names as diverse as Gaelic Superstar Julie Fowlis, Alt-Country legend Bonnie Prince Billy, Classic Crooner Tony Christie and World Music/ Jazz Fusion impresario Arnaud Ciapolino.

Tom Blackwell
3 May 2025
7:30pm
Tickets £12
Now landed on Teesside after a meandering journey across all corners of England, Tom Blackwell emerged from the Manchester folk club circuit, where he discovered the country, blues and gospel music that would become the foundations of his work. In 2012 The Viper label of Liverpool (Edgar Jones) released a compilation of these tracks. The record received support from BBC Radio 2 & 6 Music.
Blackwell found himself embarking on a 3 month pilgrimage of America. Armed only with a guitar and the clothes on his back, he travelled thousands of miles over rail and bus, before a chance meeting in Nashville with sound engineer Matt Wyman led to the recording of Tyrone The Gun.
A prolific writer with a visceral and dynamic performance style, Blackwell has been playing across the UK and beyond for the last 15 years, honing his craft both on and off stage.
